Disklabs gain SBD accreditation for their Faraday bags to protect your digital devices when you are on the move
Computers, tablets and mobile phones can be at risk from unauthorised intrusion whilst you are carrying them, unless they are protected, says Disklabs, a Secured by Design (SBD) member company.
A Disklabs Faraday bag will prevent your digital device connecting to an unsecure wireless network during your daily commute, your journey to a business meeting or in other public places.
It does this by blocking all RF wireless signals.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, and independently tested, Disklabs’ Faraday bags have received SBD’s Police Preferred Specification for the way they significantly reduce the risk of malicious attacks and unauthorised access to data via wireless connectivity.
The Faraday shield will help prevent a malicious attack even with the device in standby and the W-Fi enabled by isolating it from wireless connectivity.
Simon Steggles, Founder of Disklabs, of Tamworth, Staffordshire, said: “Not many of us would leave a device unattended or unlocked in an unsecure environment but that is what we are doing when we are out and about unless we protect them.
“The simple substitution of a conventional briefcase or protective sleeve with a Faraday shield variant will block connectivity to unsecure networks and malicious tracking applications,” he said.
