Stopping crime before it occurs – PSM foils business park break-in
Professional Surveillance Management Ltd (PSM), one of the latest companies to join Secured by Design (SBD) and the first remote monitoring CCTV company to have achieved SBD’s Police Preferred Specification, has been busy assisting the fight against crime this weekend, foiling a break in at a business park.
The company’s unique approach to crime-fighting was put to the test when an intruder brandishing an angle grinder attempted to cut through the main gates of a business park.
PSM’s Senior Operator Keith, who has over 20 years’ experience working in a control room environment and responding to alarm activations, jumped into action, issuing audio warnings and notifying the police and a business park key holder. The intruder fled, failing to gain entry.

PSM’s entire operations, including alarm receiving software, is created, developed and controlled in-house, allowing a bespoke and tailored monitoring service. Software can be adapted to suit individual client and installer needs, rather than them having to fit into the limitations of ‘off the shelf’ software.
