CMS Window Systems renew membership with SBD

CMS Window Systems, part of the CMS Group, has renewed its membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the official police security initiative.

CMS is a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of aluminium and PVCu windows, doors and curtain walling. Employing more than 300 people across its factories and recycling centres at Castlecary near Glasgow, East Kilbride and Kirkcaldy, the company produces more than 4,000 window and door units every week, and in excess of 20,000 square metres of curtain walling annually.

Key to the company’s success since its inception in 2006 has been its sustainability strategy – environmental, social and economic – that underpins every aspect of the business. Its achievements, including the elimination of landfill waste for the last two years, have won plaudits from across the industry and resulted in multiple industry awards wins, including a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development.

CMS provides premium quality, energy efficient products to a diverse range of clients across the UK including main contractors, local authorities, housing associations and house builders, as well as trade window and door installers across Scotland. Its portfolio of industry leading products utilises systems and components from some of the world’s most innovative companies such as Saint-Gobain, Kawneer, Metal Technology, Rehau, Geze and Yale.
