Ahmarra achieve Secured by Design accreditation for apartment entrance doorsets

Ahmarra have developed a range of internal apartment entrance doorsets, which have been designed to meet the Secured by Design (SBD) testing criteria. SBD is the official UK Police flagship initiative supporting ‘designing out crime’ and is owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Membership of the SBD scheme is dependent on Ahmarra’s internal entrance doorsets meeting set criteria for PAS-24 and performing strongly in simulated attack tests conducted by an external testing and certification house. Ahmarra are now able to offer a fully certified service under the ‘Pas-24 Enhanced Security Scheme’ and also the ‘Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacturers Scheme’.

“Receiving this accreditation from the Association of Chief Police Officers underlines Ahmarra’s commitment to quality, security and innovation,” stated Tim Doran, Managing Director of Ahmarra. “We believe this underlines the quality of our products and also helps give customers who purchase the products re-assurance and peace of mind”.

Doug Skins, from ACPO Secured by Design, said: “We are pleased to add Ahmarra’s products to our SBD scheme. In giving this Police accreditation we are signalling to the consumer that those who deal with crime recognise the benefits and qualities of specific security tested products”.

SBD membership has already proved to be successful in securing new business for Ahmarra, who are currently manufacturing SBD doorsets for an East London residential development for Telford Homes.
