Arrow Group Achieves Secured by Design Accreditation, Reinforcing Commitment to Safety and Quality

Specialist industrial door solutions provider, Arrow Industrial Group, has joined Secured by Design, the official police security initiative aimed to ‘design out crime’.

Founded in 1986, Arrow began in Hull supplying PVC products to the trade. Today it operates from 11 locations across the UK, from Scotland to Bournemouth offering a wide range of bespoke security solutions including security gates, roller shutters, industrial doors and more. The company works across a number of different sectors from retail and food production to pharmaceutical and distribution.

Recent high-profile projects include supplying and fitting dock levellers and doors for a state-of-the art warehouse for Saint Gobain, spiral doors for McClaren Technology Centre and Jaguar Land Rover, and security gates for Finlays Beverages.

Arrow Group designs and manufactures a full range of SR1 to SR4 rated secure shutters from their Huddersfield depot and these accredited roller shutters can be found here on their Secured by Design dedicated member’s page.

Pursuing Secured by Design membership was important to the company as it reflects Arrow Group’s ongoing commitment to customer safety and confidence. As security threats evolve and customers become more aware of the risks associated with substandard or unverified suppliers, SBD membership provides added assurance that Arrow Group’s products and services meet stringent quality and security benchmarks. SBD membership also drives continuous internal development, supporting Arrow’s commitment to raising standards and delivering peace of mind.

“Joining Secured by Design is more than just an accreditation – it’s a reflection of our values,” Mark Clark, Sales Director for Arrow commented. “It reinforces our dedication to excellence, safety, and reliability. We want our customers to know they are working with a company that not only meets but exceeds the industry standards.”

Alfie Hosker, SBD, commented,‘‘I am delighted that the Arrow Industrial Group Limited, have joined Secured by Design, with their Police Preferred Specification, Invictus security roller shutter range. These products have been tested and certified to several LPS1175 security ratings, which means they have a security roller shutter, which can be matched to a particular security threat and / or asset protection need. I look forward to successful membership with them over the coming years.”

Secured by Design (SBD) is owned by the UK Police Service with the specific aim of reducing crime and increasing safety for businesses and individuals.

SBD seeks to improve the physical security of buildings and the surrounding area using products such as doors, windows, locks and walling systems along with fencing systems that meet the SBD Police Preferred Specification security requirements.

SBD have many partner organisations, ranging from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government through to local authorities, housing associations, developers and manufacturers and work closely with standards and certification bodies.

SBD is the only way for companies to obtain police recognition for security-related products in the UK, through the Police Preferred Specification - a product-based accreditation scheme developed 25 years ago, which provides a recognised standard for all security products that effectively deter and reduce crime. SBD work with manufacturers and standards authorities to ensure that security standards are current and updated to keep pace with emerging crime trends.
