Newcastle's Brio UK has renewed its membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the national police crime prevention initiative.
Established in the early 1970′s as a subsidiary of PC Henderson, Brio became independent in 1988. Over the next 15 years Brio developed and evolved for the global market, producing cutting edge designs such as Weatherfold exterior folding door hardware, with the Weatherfold 4’s Bi-Folding Door Hardware System achieving SBD’s Police Preferred Specification.
In 2015 Allegion plc, a leading global security products and solutions provider, acquired Brio as part of its Asia Pacific operations.
