Clark Door renew membership with SBD
Clark Door, a leading innovator in the design, manufacture, installation and service of high-performance Special Purpose Door Systems has renewed its membership with Secured by Design.
Founded in 1973, Clark Door Ltd is a BS EN ISO 9001:2015 accredited company and a family business, led by Paul and Andrew Ashley; both qualified engineers with a passion for excellence. This independent company has over 40 years of independent test data for its custom designed Acoustic, Fire Rated, Temperature-Controlled and Industrial doors. The most recent addition is Security doors, including the Clark Multigard® - a high specification security roller shutter door, security rated to SR3, SR4 & SR5.
Clark Door has recently been awarded the prestigious King's Award for Enterprise: Innovation. Clark Door is one of only 47 organisations nationally to be recognised with the prestigious Innovation Award.
The King’s Award for Enterprise is the UK's most prestigious business award, which is awarded annually to companies that demonstrate exceptional levels of performance in the areas of innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
This is the second award of this nature for Clark Door in the space of three years, having received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2020.

They fabricate some fantastic products offering an extensive range of high security doors to which they have just won the King's Award for Enterprise 2023: Innovation. They always make me feel welcome when I visit and I am looking forward to many more years working alongside them”.

The SBD accreditation is confirmation to designers and clients that we hold Police recognition for our security rated products. With Hazel’s assistance we held an event at our manufacturing facility in Carlisle for Cumbria and Lancashire Constabulary’s Designing Out Crime Officers (DOCO’s). We look forward to our ongoing working relationship and hope to hold further events.”
