Pragmasis Super Shed Shackle Achieves Gold and Secured by Design Accreditation
Pragmasis Engineering Ltd, a UK leader in high-security anti-theft devices, has achieved Sold Secure Gold certification and Secured by Design accreditation for its Super Shed Shackle.
Designed for wooden sheds, bike stores and timber outbuilding, the Super Shed Shackle reinforces a large section of shed wall to create a secure anchor point for bicycles, motorbikes, valuable tools or equipment making it extremely difficult for thieves to penetrate.

Independently tested to SS104 Gold
Certified to the SS104 Sold Secure Gold testing specification for bicycle and motorbike ground anchors and fixtures, the shackle has undergone a sustained attack testing using a series of common tools including angle grinders, sledgehammers and bolt cutters. To achieve Gold, products must demonstrate a high level of resistance to attack and typically feature hardened or heat-treated steel, a reinforced structure to distribute force and resist shear fatigue, tamper resistant or concealed fixings.

Supporting building regulation compliance
The SS104 standard is referenced within the new Approved Document Q of the Building Regulations for England which sets out a list of minimum security measures such as doors, windows and accessible openings that are required for all new build homes. Where a development provides communal cycle storage or cycle anchor points, building control bodies may require certification to Sold Secure SS104 Gold to demonstrate compliance.
The Super Shed Shackle provides a practical solution for developers seeking to meeting bike storage requirements and 28 of them have already been incorporated into a new housing development, Roundhills, in Waltham Abbey, where they have been installed to provide residents long-term security and asset protection.

Suitable for private use or residential developers
Manufactured in the UK, the Super Shed Shackle combines robust security with simple installation. Fitting typically takes less than 15 minutes, and each unit is supplied as a complete installation kit including:
