Secured by Design member company Ring introduce their first Indoor/Outdoor Security Cameras

Secured by Design (SBD) member company Ring, a company on a mission to reduce crime in neighbourhoods, has today announced the availability of their first Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera, the Ring Stick Up Cams, in Europe.

The new Stick Up Cams – Ring Stick Up Cam Wired and Ring Stick Up Cam Battery – are Ring’s first cameras meant for both indoor and outdoor use and further bolster the Ring of Security around homes and neighbourhoods.

Ring Stick Up Cam Wired and Ring Stick Up Cam Battery feature motion detection, 1080p full HD resolution, night vision, two-way talk, a siren and a wide viewing angle – all for £179 each. Stick Up Cam Wired is powered through a micro-USB power supply or by Power over Ethernet (PoE), which gives users a reliable connection to the Internet as well as consistent power. For indoor use Ring Stick Up Cams bring the Ring of Security inside so users are notified of any suspicious motion within the home. For those looking for additional outdoor security, neighbours can place the Stick Up Cams around the outside of the home to monitor activity within their property and help prevent a crime from taking place.

Ring Stick Up Cams have attained SBD’s Police Preferred Specification after being accredited by a technical panel comprising a number of security industry experts. The full range of Ring’s SBD accredited products can be viewed here

Jamie Siminoff, Chief Inventor and Founder of Ring, said: "We’re excited to continue expanding the Ring of Security with Ring’s first Indoor/Outdoor cameras. Ring Stick Up Cams give neighbours maximum flexibility to position the cameras anywhere they want, regardless of power availability, to secure every corner of their property.

“Every decision Ring makes is driven by our mission to reduce crime in neighbourhoods; it’s important to have multiple layers of home security, and the Stick Up Cam line offers affordable, easy-to-install security for both inside and outside of the home”.

SBD Development Officer, Doug Skins, said: “Police forces across the country are focusing on the importance of crime and we are always pleased to embrace products of a high standard that reduce crime and keep communities safe.

“Camera-based devices, such as those provided by Ring, can play an important part in crime detection and prevention. They help to deter criminal activity and provide police with a resource which can help identify people who are acting suspiciously outside homes”.

Ring’s ever-expanding line of home security devices enable the company to further its mission of reducing crime in neighbourhoods across the globe. The Ring Stick Up Cam Wired is available to purchase on and from Friday, November 16, with the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery available at a later date.
