The Wigan-based company was co-founded by Kerry Jones after she identified a gap in the market for personalised, high end CCTV monitoring services.  PSM offers tailored CCTV monitoring solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial and residential properties serving the needs for local, national and international customers.

Acting as the ‘eyes and ears’ for their clients, PSM provides real-time around the clock protection through their remote video receiving centre (RVRC).  When an intruder triggers an alarm, live CCTV footage is sent to trained operators who monitor the situation and visually verify any threats before responding immediately with audio warnings, alarms, and alerting emergency services.

GymSafe, their latest service, is specifically designed to support gyms looking to offer extended hours or 24-hour access to boost membership and increase flexibility without the need for constant staff supervision whilst protecting gym members who might be working out on their own.  GymSafe provides full remote operations, including live CCTV monitoring of entrances and turnstiles to detect unauthorised or non-member access, alongside proactive anti-tailgating measures. Their rapid emergency response panic alarms allow gym members to alert the control room in case of accidents or emergencies. If any fire doors and exit points are opened an instant alarm alerts the control room to investigate.

This pro-active approach has already proven effective, with GymSafe preventing a serious medical emergency in a Bristol gym.  A lone gym member was spotted by PSM operators who had collapsed in pain after lifting heavy weights. They immediately offered audio reassurance to the member that they had been seen and help was on its way, while swiftly contacting security and an ambulance. GymSafe’s intervention ensured the gym member received the essential care for their serious injury.

SBD is owned by the UK Police Service with the specific aim of reducing crime and increasing safety for businesses and individuals.
