Secured by Design (SBD) member company, Universal Trade Frames, a Spectus trade fabricator, has spoken out about the importance of its range of door and window products having achieved Police Preferred Specification accreditation for the benefit of its customers.

It also has the accreditation on Spectus Flush 70 PVC-U casement window; Elite 70 tilt and turn bevelled window; Elite 70 tilt and turn ovolo window; Spectus Elite 70 residential single door bevelled; Elite 70 residential single door ovolo; Elite 70 residential double door bevelled and Elite 70 residential double door ovolo.
All products are certified to PAS 24:2016 too, which can also be used to demonstrate compliance with Approved Document Q, BS 6375-1 for weather tightness and BS 6375-2 and BS EN 1191 for operation and strength testing.
SBD is now widely recognised by professional audiences and increasingly by consumers, as a valuable mark of Police Preferred Specification.
