SBD Senior Development Kenny McHugh said: “The Cairngorm Group have been valued members of Secured by Design since April 2010 and it is excellent news that they are continuing their affiliation with us and reaffirming their commitment to safety in the industry.

“The Cairngorm Group have a number of door and window systems which have achieved the Police Preferred Specification standard, and I am looking forward to working alongside them for many years to come”.

Chris Dowling of the Cairngorm Group said: “We are delighted to have had our SBD accreditation renewed following the successful testing of our enhanced security windows & doors.

“The window industry is no different to most industries these days in that there is a lot of testing & certification required in order that we can legally sell our products, such as CE marking. This requires a significant yearly investment but it means that customers of the Cairngorm Group can be assured that all the products they require meet all the relevant standards which is especially important on new build projects, and that their new windows & doors really are, tougher, warmer & smarter”
