We spoke to ERA Home Security Ltd, designers and manufacturers of locks and security solutions who bring nearly two centuries of experience in the industry and have witnessed first-hand how the security needs have evolved.
Who is ERA?
Established in 1838, ERA began as a humble locksmith shop and has since grown into a nationwide company employing over 300 people. Today, they supply a comprehensive range of window and door security solutions, supporting fabricators, installers, locksmiths, security specialists, building professionals and homeowners.

How did you find the process?
“The process, as expected, was clear and straightforward. We met the BSI’s IoT Kitemark, which is the highest level you can achieve and submitting the evidence required was simple and the verification stage was efficient. In this case, to meet the expected standard, we were simply asked to provide third-party assessments that we’d already secured. With no additional testing needed, this was entirely hassle-free.”
