Established in 1983, Mighton Products Ltd is a family-owned business based in Hinxton, near Cambridge, and has grown to become a leading name at the forefront of security devices for doors and windows. The company was founded by Mike Derham, who began his career as a joiner crafting timber sash windows. Initially, Mighton supplied nylon sash pulleys, cords, and sash weights, but over the years the range has expanded to include child safety restrictors, casement window products, smart door hardware and a selection of high-quality joinery paints and coatings. Today, the company offers an extensive product range of around 3,000 items. From the beginning, Mighton has been committed to safety, continually advocating for the use of child safety restrictors on all windows. This dedication led to the development of the patented Angel WOCD™ (window opening control devices) range, a simple, ingenious solution designed to keep children safe around sash windows. This innovation exemplifies Mighton’s focus on practical, high-quality security solutions that combine reliability with ease of use.
