Double award win for Kubu
Kubu - the leading designer and manufacturer of smart sensing technology for the fenestration industry - has received further, third-party recognition of the innovative nature of its products and their ability to contribute to a truly smart home.
At the recent National Fenestration Awards (NFA) 2023, the business won the Door Component of the Year category for its window and door smart sensors.
The award for Window Component of the Year also went to the 'GreenteQ iQ 'Works with Kubu' window lock from VBH.
The NFAs are arguably the most inclusive and impartial in the window and door industry. They rely on a voting system which is open to individuals across the fenestration sector to determine the eventual winner of each category.
Kubu’s double award win acknowledges a fairly momentous year for the business.
During the last twelve months, it has extended its product range and secured a number of patents to protect the unique and proprietary nature of the technology employed in its sensors.
It has also become the first manufacturer of smart sensors to have its devices and software awarded IASME IoT Cyber Assurance Level 2 accreditation. Perfectly complementing the PAS 24 approvals of the locks Kubu technology is commonly used alongside, IASME IoT Cyber Assurance Level demonstrates that an internet-connected device provides exceptional cyber-security.
It entails products and services being independently assessed across the 13 areas of the global consumer IoT security standard, ETSI EN 303 645, and far exceeds the three mandatory provisions currently required by the UK Government.
In addition to IASME IoT Cyber Assurance Level 2 accreditation, Kubu technology enjoys full IoT and Secured by Design Secure Connected Device accreditation.
