Fastline Group’s Maj Gluchowski Achieves Crime Prevention Accreditation
Maj Gluchowski of Fastline Group has recently achieved the Level 4 Certificate in Crime Prevention for Practitioners, awarded by the Police Crime Prevention Academy.
This nationally recognised qualification, accredited by ProQual, demonstrates the competency of practitioners who provide specialist crime prevention advice. The course covers key areas such as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), relevant legislation, the SARA problem-solving model, environmental visual audits and the social factors that influence crime, giving graduates the skills to recommend security solutions that are appropriate, realistic and cost-effective. The Academy is part of the Police CPI portfolio, which also includes Secured by Design (SBD).
Maj, the first individual from an SBD member company to undertake this learning with the Academy, explained that the qualification has provided a much deeper understanding of crime prevention principles and how to apply them in practice. Since completing the course, he has undertaken numerous site visits alongside police partners, assessing access control, perimeter security and environmental vulnerabilities that could encourage criminal activity. These assessments ensure that the solutions Fastline provides are not only certified, but also tailored to the specific risks and needs of each client.
His approach reflects Fastline Group’s ethos of working in partnership with clients to deliver lasting, effective security solutions rather than simply supplying materials. Whether working with data centres, educational trusts, airports or local community groups, the company maintains the same level of professionalism, respect and transparency.
“For me, this wasn’t just about ticking a box,” Maj explained. “It’s about providing every client with the confidence that when we step onto a site, we’re not thinking about how much money we can make, we’re thinking about how we can help them to reduce and prevent crime from happening.”

Hazel Goss, Secured by Design, commented: “I am so over the moon for Maj receiving the Level 4 Crime Prevention qualification that he has gained from our Crime Prevention Academy. Fastline are the first company to go down the certification route for one of their employees, meaning they can now officially assist DOCOs. It also means when out and about doing surveys, Maj is qualified to offer an assessment separate from a company point of view and sales. Well done Maj!“
