“Being part of the Secured by Design scheme is very important to Allan Brothers”

Berwick-upon-Tweed’s Allan Brothers Ltd is the latest company to renew its membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the national police crime prevention initiative.

Founded by William Allan in 1811, Allan Brothers is Britain’s longest established joinery specialist and window company, with over 200 years of experience hand crafting timber windows and doors.

In 2007 Allan Brothers became part of the Inwido Group, Europe’s largest supplier of windows and a leading door supplier. The Group has some 4400 employees, with operations in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the UK, Norway, Ireland, Poland, Estonia, Romania, Lithuania, Germany and Austria.

SBD Development Officer Alfie Hosker said: "I am really pleased that Allan Brothers have renewed their Secured by Design membership with us for a further three years. They offer a wide range of timber doorsets and windows, suitable for use across a number of applications.

“Allan Brothers also have other products in Aluminium & PVC-U, which have been accredited by Secured by Design as they achieve Police Preferred Specification status too".
