MACO renew membership with Secured by Design

MACO is one of the latest companies to renew their membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the official police security initiative.

MACO is a long-established, autonomous and independent family-run business which was founded in 1947 in Altenmarkt, Austria. In 1952 the company relocated to its current headquarters in Salzburg.

MACO has continued to expand, opening bases across the world, with their UK operation opening over three decades ago in 1986.

The confidence MACO enjoys from customers has supported their growth into a market leading, multi-million pound operation with nationwide coverage from their UK base in Kent. MACO’s UK operation is recognized as a state of the art logistics and customer care centre underscoring the company’s commitment to provide support to the home owner.

Security and safety is at the heart of everything MACO designs and manufactures. All of our product developments take into account the requirements of both SBD, PAS24 and other industry standards, this ensures that our customers can be assured that when they purchase MACO products their hardware complies with the latest performance and security requirements.”

SBD Development Lyn Poole said: “I was extremely pleased when MACO Door and Hardware (UK) Ltd decided to renew their SBD membership for another three years. I look forward to working with them over their membership period and what a great way to start than with the podcast MACOnnect that I did last week with their marketing manager Mark Enderby.”
