“We have always placed a massive importance on providing quality crime prevention products to the industry” - JNE Security maintain affiliation with Secured by Design, and add to accredited products range
JNE Security, the UK's leading supplier of innovative Crime Prevention & Community Safety products, has renewed its membership with Secured by Design (SBD), the national police crime prevention initiative.
An SBD member company since 2005, JNE Security have this year added yet more products to their portfolio of products which have reached the coveted Police Preferred Specification, with the addition of the Card Minder range of innovative solutions to prevent against RFID Fraud.
Included in this range is the world famous Card Minder RFID Blocking pouch. Card Minder was featured on BBC TVs Rip Off Britain in 2015 as the new innovative solution to protect against Wireless Credit Card fraud. Card Minder has gone on to sell over 1 million pouches and become a market leader for RFID fraud.
Following this success the latest product, Card Minder Platinum has been launched.
Card Minder Platinum is a single wireless card which fits into any wallet or purse and protects the entire wallet from the threat of wireless fraud. Both Card Minders have been independently tested by Loughborough University and awarded Secured by Design status. These are the pioneers in this field and represent a new standard.
Also added to JNE Security’s portfolio are the Minder Signal Blocker range.
The Minder Signal Blocker has been designed for both car keys and mobile phones, whereas the Minder Signal Blocker Mini has been designed specifically for car keys and is half the size of standard Signal Blockers. Both Signal Blockers have a protective storage pouch and when sealed completely block the signal of any item inside, to protect car keys from Relay Attacks where a handheld signal blocking device is used to gain access to vehicles.
JNE Security has recently launched their new 2019 Crime Prevention Catalogue, full of many SBD accredited products. You can see details on all of JNE Security’s extensive range of SBD accredited products here: http://www.securedbydesign.com/members/jne-security-limited/
SBD Development Officer Hazel Goss said: “I am delighted that JNE Security have renewed with Secured by Design for another three years, they have been members with us since 2005, but I have had the privilege of working with them for over 15 years through my previous job as a police officer. They are one of our valued companies and I look forward to working with them for years to come”.
Nick Hughes, Marketing Director, JNE Security said: ““We are delighted that our Card Minder and Card Minder Platinum RFID products have been independently tested and achieved SBD status. JNE Security have been Secured by Design members since 2005 and we have always placed a massive importance on providing quality crime prevention products to the industry. These latest accreditations reinforce these values”.
SBD is a police-owned organisation that works on behalf of the Police Service throughout the UK to deliver a wide range of crime prevention and demand reduction initiatives.
SBD plays a significant crime prevention role in the planning process to design out crime in a wide range of building sectors. It has achieved some significant success including one million homes built to SBD standards with reductions in crime of up to 87%.
SBD have many partner organisations, ranging from the Home Office, Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government and the Police Service through to local authorities, housing associations, developers and manufacturers and work closely with standards and certification bodies to ensure that their publicly available standards actually meet the needs of the police and public alike.
Products must be subjected to vigorous testing and auditing by an accredited third party organisation before being allowed to carry the SBD logo – this is the only way for companies to obtain police accreditation for security related products in the UK.
